That thread asking for a wedding song inspired me to put up this thread. Songs are an awesome part of any project... it helps stir up emotions for the viewers, and for the filmmakers and artists it helps brings images into our minds - songs is the language of emotion, the mood and feeling, and can be the driving force that can help inspire a great idea and/or story. So, let's start compiling a list of songs that you think are either very inspiring for you or songs that you think would be good to use to bring out a certain mood for your project be it a feature film, a short, a TV spot, a wedding video, a home video, whatever project may it be. Of course it will be all copyright songs so we wouldn't be able to use it in real life but it will definitely be inspiring to us and let us feel the feeling that captured us, and then we can try to find a royalty-free music that has a similar feeling or we can hire a composer to capture that feeling. So with that said, what songs simply inspire you as an artist? Or make a song list with its accompanying emotion / mood which will go great for a project like a feature film or any other project. Or introduce us to some good songs that make good for trailer music, that is always fun!
This will also get our "music song" vocabulary up to par and introduce us with new songs and music artists as well, which is a plus! Also, providing a link like via youtube would be great so we all can listen to it if it's not familiar.
