the smell of popcorn...is back!

Oh. I thought you were making real popcorn from corn. We were just talking about that last night. I guess we're on a different page tonight. Lolll. Cool though. My bad. Lolll.

The local theater is still closed, but on Saturday afternoons they are selling popcorn "to go" as a means to keep the theater from going broke and closing until the pandemic is over and they open again.

The smell of popcorn never left me. I have a professional oil popper in my home theater. I mix half canola, half coconut oil, and a tiny 1/4 teaspoon of Flavocol for authentic tasting theater popcorn.

I don’t know that the theaters ever closed here. If they did, they were open again by July.

I see an average of around 20-30 vehicles in the parking lot of a 12-screen theater here. An AMC property. They allowed all the trees / landscaping to die. It looks terrible. Like a bomb went off.

An iconic theater in LA has closed (indefinitely, may get bought up and re-opened). I don't think we can totally thank Nolan for saving cinema just yet.

In some loctions, it will never pop again. ArcLight Cinemas and Pacific Theatres are permanently closing https://www.arclightcinemas.com/en/locations/los-angeles/sherman-oaks/showtimes?origin=Sherman-Oaks

In more news, AMC has gone from $5 billion in debt before the pandemic to $11 billion in debt according to Motley Fool. How one services that debt load successfully and remain open long term when it was losing money before the pandemic is difficult to fathom.
