The ShuttlePRO V2

I just (wel actually 2 days ago :Drogar-Dum(DBG):) bought the shuttlepro V2.

A controller to more easely.....control....stuff...

Stuff like rewind, fastforward, stop play, jog, shuttle...

And it works very well in Protools and nuendo.

The only "less" thing is that it has a slow reaction (because of USB, and because of me having a longer USB cable between it...).

But that's ok... it's more important for mixing consoles that you need someting that reacts directly on your movement (of the fader).
 
I use the "express" and there is a jog shuttle on my controller (CM Automations MotorMate). I use them both all the time. The shuttle XX works a bit differently than the controllers jog/shuttle so they are a great compliment. The Shuttle is great for, among other things, highlighting a region and moving it around (if you set up the inner disk for "nudging") in ProTools. You can't really "scrub" with the Shuttle, or at least I haven't found a way. But the controllers Jog/Shuttle works great for that.
