I know its not a "film" but it is shot on film.
Anyone else salivating for the new season. Why is it that I can only work up the courage to post when Im inebriated (fancy talk for drunk). I fear you, thats why.
 
"The Shield" is some of the best television ever made. I just watched 5 seasons over the past six weeks. So well written, cast, acted and shot on Super16. I can't believe there's not more discussion here. I can't wait for the new season. I'm so sorry to learn that the series has been flagged for eventual cancellation.

Agreed. I love the Shield and it is in my top ten shows of all time, but THE WIRE is far and above the best written show in TV history. Hands down. I used to say it was Buffy. But then I saw THE WIRE. Wow.

But the Shield is really quite amazing and I cannot wait for the new season.
 
i can't wait either...what month does it come back on? what was the last thing that happened on the last episode of last season? i dont remember.

I think this is the last season. Its not being cancelled the producers want to end it as they feel they have explored all they could.

Claudette got Captain. Kavanaugh is close to meltdown. Lem is thinking of copping to new charges instead of fleeing to Mexico like the team planned. At the grenade bust, Shane pockets a hand grenade. Remember .... ?

This is gonna be the best season yet.

whoa, wait a minute, that wasn't how the season ended though was it?

********SPOILERS*********

i remember Lem being blown up by Shane, Kavaneugh being arrested for trying to frame Vick, and the last thing I remember was Shane getting caught up with the Armenian Mobb and taking Vick's family hostage as collateral for his own life.

i remember trying to watch the next episode and it just never came back on, or at least my DVR stopped recording it.

maybe i did see the last episode???

there's a lot of setup in that season if i remember correctly. the setup is what really brings you to love the characters though later in the seasons...but i agree, if you didn't like season 1 then it probably doesn't have what you're looking for.
 
one show left.... i am so going to miss it. this is really the only show i watch on tv.
 
yea last night was off the hook.....i think i may like this more than the wire....more action, suspense and drama, less talking heads...
