The SGBlade in Guatemala

Here is some footage that we shot in Guatemala last month. This edited piece is a teaser for a longer one which we'll release in the fall.

Almost everything in this edit was shot with a Canon XH A1 with the Blade and a variety of Nikon 2.8 zooms (17-35, 35-70, 80-200). Non 35mm footage was shot with a Canon XL H1.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

This was shot with RR1 - we wanted to maximize available light since we knew that lugging lights into the prison would be difficult.

Re: Is this a christian documentary?
I guess that depends on your definition of "christian documentary." If by that you mean that there are Christians in the documentary, then yes, it would be. But this is more about telling a story that we think is interesting (how gang members are marginalized by society, thus exacerbating the issues of gangs in Guatemala.) This issue is particularly prominent in the churches in the area and we'll use that as our entry to talk about the issue.
