Hello fellow filmmakers.
My name is Constantineand Iam a steadicam and robotic camera operator .
Iam at the finishing line of the developing of a new stabilizing system for small cams like future scarlet, ax1,ax3,ikonoscope,a-minima, and generally any other small cam on the market.
The system is THE - RUNNING - RIG and is designed for solder support to stabilize your shots in all axis.
It can also be used on car mounts , bikes , boats, helis, and any other moving vehicle. Its all adjustable and very modular, made of CF tubing, and strong alloys.I have finished tests with moke ups and got great results.
I will be working on the site tonight to post some 3d views for you.
IN the meantime please feel free to join in and mail me any questions you might have about the RR-1 .
Iam planning on a very affordable product yet very effective for your filmmaking .Soon videos to follow..
Thank you very much.

Hey Constantine, Welcome to DVXuser!

I know from HBS that you know what you are talking about. I looked at the renderings, and I can't wait to see more.

Constantinos,

You haven't specifically mentioned a load capacity for the rig... just curious whether the rig can support an HVX200 with external accessories (approx 14lbs)? Or would this weight be geared more toward the RR2?

I'm anxious to see real product photos and test footage!

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I've got my HVX mounted on rails with a follow focus, external LCD and Firestore.
Each of these components are actually mounted to the rails and not the camera.

Good to hear that I can distribute them equally on the RR-1 and that the overall weight isn't an issue.

Great.

Looking forward to the drawing.

Incidentally, the FF that I use is actually an electronic one. The Bebob FOXI. I have 15ft extension cable for it so a dedicated focus puller can operate it.

Will the cable interfere with the balance of the rig?
