the right mic to choose with juicedlink for different situations

Hi folks, i have a question.
i have a sony hdr-cx550, i will use a juicedlink to use xlr mics who use phantom power.

i have question about the mics i should use for the 2 different shooting scenes.

1) For filming myself, talking in front of the camera, outdoors and in my living room.
(i thought of shooting these parts with a lavalier rode mic XLR directly into my juicedlink. This way i will have a great sound for my voice only. I could plug a shotgun mounted on my cam to have the all around ambient sound)

2) For recording only my voice (with no image), i thought of using also the lavalier rode mic XLR into my juicedlink (and transfer only the audio into Adobe premiere, and then sync the audio recorder with the images i shot at another time). Do you think i'll have a good sound with lavalier mic for this kind of situation ?

3) To take only the ambient sound of a place (let's say a forest, with the wind and the sound of birds), i think the mic of my camcorder is not good enough. Can you suggest me a shotgun for that situation ?

Thanks in advance, to anyone who has a suggestion for any of these 3 situations.
Have a good day

For 1) and 2), you already answered whatever questions you were asking: a lav will do.

3): for recording ambient sound -

- If you mean ambient noises around you, then any mic (on-board mic, shotgun, etc.) will do.

- If you mean to capture certain interested ambient sounds, then I think you'd better use a sensitive, low self-noise, stereo mic, such as Rode NT 4: sensitive for capturing sounds in a great distance, low self noise for high quality audio signals, stereo for wide pickup. Just for bird sounds, a stereo shotgun may be best.

- If you mean to capture live sounds all around you, then the best mic I believe is a surround mic, which is an array of mics.
