The Return of the Lving Dead sequels

I'm enjoying the makeup. :) The headshots are great. I'm a little bit undecided on the zombies talking. I'm used to not seeing that. That 'mom' zombie with the saw and stuff.... nice teeth. :D

I'm going to watch them both tomorrow or later if I have insomnia. Wife and I went to see Serenity before it leaves the theatre (AWESOME movie, btw).

I'm making the popcorn to sit my butt on the couch and watch for 4 hours (really 3 minus commercials).

I'll let you know later.

My favorite line in pt 4 so far is,"niiiccceeee pooper."

I think my wife would slap me silly if I called her shapely posterior a pooper.

I'll try it later and let you know how it goes.

I caught them half-n-half (was busy online last night learning Blander so was going to and fro living room) but they were alright; better than LAND OF THE DEAD.

They seemed lke 'Better than usual SCI-FI Channel Flicks'. B Zombie Flicks. Pop-corn and rainy Saturdaynight

LOL! I was turned away from the TV when the guy said that, and I spun and looked like, ' did I just hear that right? ' LOL

About 4 & 5:

Likes:
¤ Make Up / prosthetics
¤ Head shots / squibs
¤ overall design of most of the zombies

Dislikes:
¤ That the zombeis talked /kept saying ' brains! ' ( well that's not too bad but it just seemed a little comical )
¤ When the zombies would go after someone wanting their brains, they would bite the head and take one bite / just barely crack the skull/ get some hair in the mouth and then run after the next person. Come on, if they really wanted brains they would go and eat that part. This way, you get confused on their motivation - are they after brains or just wanting to kill
¤ Zombies of equal stature/ stages of rotting would be different mentally. Like one would know how to disarm someone of a gun but the next would just sit there like a deer in headlights.
--------------
I'm sure that I have more of each but I can't think of anything right now. I just know that I probably wouldn't buy them. Sorry to say.

Yeah I replayed it with CC on to make sure I heard it right. LOL. A line to be proud of... THE line I wish I had written in general was on Boston Legal when Bill Shatner says to James Spader,"Did you say Cling On?"

But the whole "brains!" thing is a hold over from the orginal Return movies which were really much more comical than anything else. They really tried to blend horror and comedy with mixed results. To me thats where the DVX Zombie movie Brains came from.

back to the end of part 4.

Finished Part 4.
Surprising in some respects, in that it wasn't an all out comdey-horror fest that I expected.

Good make up and pretty good effects overall.
The story was a bit lame. Predictable pretty early on.

Pretty much all you'd expect from a low budget "Return of the Living Dead" movie.

On to part 5...

Did you ever see the orginal THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD?

yes I have infact... it's been along time though. I used to be a HUGE zombie nut but I tend now to be a fan of more suspenseful things. Kind of the more ' japanese way ' of storytelling. The american way seems to be more in your face , show you what your scared of , and sometimes I like that, but I do like it when your imagination has to do some work. But for that I need the correct mood. Otherwise I just get kind of bored.

For instance, I was reading this today and just the words got my mind a workin on this sick event....

Woman tries to steal unborn child
By A Correspondent

A woman has been charged with cutting open her pregnant neighbour’s belly with a razor knife to try to steal her baby. The attack was thwarted when a passer-by saw what was happening and called the police.

The victim, Valerie Oskin, 30, was taken to a hospital, where an emergency Caesarean section was performed. Hospital officials said that they could not release any information about Ms Oskin or her baby.

Peggy Jo Connor, 38, of Ford City, Pennsylvania, hit Ms Oskin over the head with a baseball bat then drove her about 15 miles (25km) to a wooded area in Armstrong County, about 50 miles (80km) northeast of Pittsburgh, then cut her across her abdomen, Jonathan Bayer, a state trooper, said. “She was sliced over an old Caesarean scar and severely bleeding,” he added.

A teenager on an all-terrain vehicle came across the two women in the woods. “She probably would have bled to death if this young boy had not discovered her when he did,” Mr Bayer said.
The boy called his father, who contacted the police. (AP)

Ahhh yes, another fine example of humans being the most intelligent species on the planet.

To sort of quote Sigourney Weaver,"Which is the more evolved species. You don't see them f*****g each other over for a percentage."

Finally finished part 5. Kind of goofy. Started off okay, but then just got really silly.
I did like the topless zombie though. he he.

Some cool effects, especially on the skeletal zombie. It is odd that the zombies take a bite out of the head and thats it...rarely eat the "brains"... the interpol guys got annoying in this one. Silly accents.

The rave was kind of cool, but could have been better. I liked the idea of the drug being synthesized and sold as "Z" but didnt like what they did with it...happened too quick and was just too predictable (again).

All in all, two fun Sunday afternoon popcorn movies.
