Redboxed this last night. Shouldn't have. The plot didn't seem like it was too historically accurate, they made an obviously badass fighter ace into some kind of emo kid, there's a goofy added-in love story, and the very contrived pro-Jewish angle is just plain out of place.

Also, the sound in this movie is awful. The music was way too loud, and the voices are way too quiet. I almost had to turn the subtitles on to avoid waking anyone up...
 
I realize that there were Jewish pilots fighting for the Germans, but I've never been a fan of the "let's take all of these different people and give them lip service by turning them into one mediocre character." Not to mention that the only thing really notable about the character was the big Star of David on his plane.
