The rain in SoCal

Anyone else getting nailed? We have some scenes to do down here this weekend and we're pretty bummed on the weather. Our location is sure to be a mess, and we'll be lucky if we can make our schedule.

It's pretty sad that we're screwed on 'locations' when so many are having thier homes and even lives lost down here in 'Sunny Southern California'.

If you have friends or family down here getting smacked around, all the best. This sucks...Hang in there.

Re: The rain in SoCal

yeah the rain is pretty brutal down here...this area just isnt made for this ****. the news is like one catastrophe after another....

Re: The rain in SoCal

hey, north cal is pretty bad too. Some parts reports seeing funnel clouds. The central valley rarely sees this phenomenon. I swore I saw a cow fly by. Crazy! :o

Re: The rain in SoCal

Eh, it's not so bad. Remember El Nino?

Even though I have to drive an hour each way to work and home everyday. I remember working in Santa Cruz for awhile. Now THAT was bad. When it dumped, I couldn't even leave the city if there was a car wreck on PCH or the Redwood Forest freeway. Waves were like 15-20 feet and spraying up onto the road. Beaches got washed out. It was gnarly. Never seen anything like that down here.

I think because last year didn't rain so much. So this year, it's all the news can talk about.

Re: The rain in SoCal

My mother, sister, and brother-in-law live in Santa Monica, with my mother needing 24 hour care and just back from hospital. I hope the medical folks can make it!

Re: The rain in SoCal

I'm hoping it won't rain this weekend because I'm hoping to shoot a doc at California Speedway. I can probably still shoot it if it rains but I just don't want to deal with rain gear.

No no... pretty good! Because it's dumping fresh pow pow in Tahoe! :D :D :D

Just got back from snowboarding. There's nothing like a fresh run on a powder day. You should have seen the crowds lining up to get first runs.

Re: The rain in SoCal

It is forcasted to rain 20 out of the next 28 days in So Cal.

I had to go to Pepperdine this morning - I traversed from the 101 on the way there on Kanan road and was probably one of the last cars to get through after a rock slide. I'm staying home - this sucks

Re: The rain in SoCal

The emergency warning on TV just flashed by.  We got a Tornado warining in the Oceanside area (I'm in Vista which is the adjacent city)  Its all over the news ...Like something out of 'The Day After Tomorrow

Re: The rain in SoCal
