the quickest way to add regions

Buy a Sony commercial dvd burner. They let you just plug in your video source and set what length regions you want. 1 min, 2min, 3min and so on. They let you add a title to the front after it has burned the dvd. They were about $700 when first out but now about $500. This is if you can live with the quality that they encode at but are the fastest way to go to dvd.

Doing such a thing makes no sense to me when ot costs a lot more than most DVD authoring software (more than Vegas + DVD total, for example), when it limits your options so drastically, and when it's a lower-quality burn.

Want to break up a 30 min video to 3 min regions, what is the fastest way to do this? thanks:)

I know Excalibur can easily do this. I also have a free script that can be easily modified to perform this task:
http://www.jetdv.com/scripts/MarkerInterval.js

Just change this line to 3 minutes instead of 1 minute:
var IntervalTime = new Timecode("00:01:00:00");

And then change this line from false to true:
var doRegion = false;

Then you can use a batch render program to render the various sections.
