Is anyone else as excited about this movie as I am? I loved the original and I'm a huge Mel Brooks fan. This version looks great. Broderick, Lane, Ferrel, and Thurman. Great cast. Ferrel looks funny as heck in the trailer. Overall I can not wait for this movie to come out. It looks great. Can't wait.

NO!!!!! Sad to say I am not.

This is going to sound really harsh.... coming from a theatre background (spent 10 years working on/around Bway)... I loathe Nathan Lane... find Matthew Broderick as interesting as watching paint dry...and I'm sorry but just say no to Will Ferrill.

I loved the original, and enjoyed the stage version without Lane and Broderick. I didn't crack a smile once at the trailer for the musical movie. It looks painful to me. Very painful.

Sorry!

the one thing i didnt like nathan lane in was that dumb rat hunt movie... that was just ungodly dumb and just... dumb. i loved the birdcage. thats a great movie. lane was great in it imo. the producers just looks great imho.

the original was great dont get me wrong im not saying it wasnt. until i see the new one i cant say whether it is better than the original which it most likely wont. im saying it should be just as good.
