Hey guys, Just wanted to introduce myself to the photography thread. How is everyone doing? I look forward to seeing everyones pictures. Ive already went through some of the threads and I have to say I liked, alveraz, after_effects, sinapps, rawfa, Adam Gonzalez's photos, and some others that were good as well. I think you guys have some real talent here and from what my friends have been saying, this is a really friendly and professional forum. Which is good, I just came from flickr and I can say that there are too many power controling admins there, but enough about that. Anyways I am excited to see what happens and I will have pictures for you guys soon. Late, The Photographer

It's always great when new folks take the time to greet and introduce themselves.

Be warned though, this site can get pretty addctive. Look up a guy named Brandon Rice if you don't believe me. :evil::evil::thumbsup:
 
You better believe Matt when he says it can get pretty addictive! But what a good addiction to have. You get to learn and to post help and to be part of a family that is always willing to help each other out. This site is one that you will find you will always come back to and can get things answered fairly quickly. If not on the first post just post again later and you will get help.

Thanks guys for the welcome, I look forward to seeing your work. I dont know if any of you know this, but I was thinking of becoming one of the admins for the still photography section, anyone know how i can achieve this? Thanks
 
Welcome! You'll love this forum, people are VERY friendly and helpful. Not to mention the talents here are just incredible. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

edit: Forgot to mention that this place is addictive so prepare to spare hours and hours from your life :evil:

Aren't you new around here? You already want to be an admin? I suppose you could simply email a mod to find out if they even need one, but from what I understand, guys that have been around a while and have proven to be legally sane and highly proficient in that particular subject become mods. Newbs that just rolled in don't. but what the hell do I know, I'm not sane nor proficient in anything around here :)
 
I think Jeremy has the admin stuff covered for the Still section, but it's never bad to express interest if they end up with the need for another.

Be a contributing member for a couple of years, bring a sense of positivity and commitment to the community. Catch the attention of the moderators and then in time we might need another moderator. Right now, we are pretty well covered.
