Hi I am very new to this community in fact this will be my first post. I was told you guys are great at helping other fellow filmmakers. I recently bought two HVX200 cameras for my upcoming first feature horror film. I spent 3 years of my life saving up to make y first dream film. I have managed to save $72,000 in Canadian funds. I am very new to the internet but I was told you would all be the best to help me out to find online stores. I need to find matte box, mic, mic windscreen, cables, crane, dolly, boom pole, 17” onboard HD monitor, tripod, Varizoom VZ-Rock PZFI, Varizoom VZ-PZFI-Focus Wheel, long lasting batteries, filters, rain cover, P2 8GB card, FireStore FS-100. I bought the M2 lens adaptor, but I am having tons of trouble finding a good lens. Also I need to find field mixers, I need editing software ofr a PC. I currently do not own a MAC. As far as lighting I found a great place on ebay and I got a great deal. PLz plz plz help me find these things, thank you a lot for you're help.

I believe you will find the longest lasting batteries here in the DVXUSER Shop. I was also in need of a crane and after searching for a couple of months I went with a kessler crane www.kesslercrane.com based on a review here and some users opinions, I just ordered it a couple days ago so I have yet to get my hands on it. THere are a multitude of choices out there for most of the things you want. If you do some searches on here you will find many topics with all of the items you are looking for. I buy a lot of equipment from www.bhphotovideo.com and www.evsonline.com beware of Ebay unless you make very educated purchases.

http://www.abelcine.com is great, but unfortunatly they do not ship to Canada, this has been such a big hassle for me. I can't find any places that ship to Canada, I don't care if I have to pay in US dollars. I can do the exchange without any problem.

Why won't you try a canadian video dealer like the "DV Shop".

Hello, as for a mixer I would recommend the sound devices 302 ( 3 inputs) very versatile to almost every given situation, can be extend to five inputs superb sound quality, good price however the sound person should either know the mixer or take time to get to know it since the menu is somewhat demanding.
As for mics; the Neumann KM 185 would make a good choice for a hypercardiod mic on a boompole - almost as good as the top of the line Schoeps MK 41 - but half the price
For clip on mike I would only get DPA - they are the film industry standard, very tiny but brilliant sound and most of all can be completely concealed under cloth with the according accessories.
As for a monitor I would recommend a tube rather than a TFT since I guess you will have a studio setting so no need to be mobile and loose resolution. Good luck to your project Pete

So by TFT you mean if I use a onboard screen you loose resolution?

Can someone help me out to find the web site for the Indie Dollie? thanks. Also, do you loose resolution by using a onboard HD 17" Monitor?
A quick Google of Indie Dolly brings up this website, among others:

http://www.indiedolly.com/

You might want to think about renting some of the equipment so you can put some of that 72k Canadian towards talent, food, props, set dressing, lighting etc.
