the omen

I liked the original a whole lot more. Sure, the original lacked a bit but the new one was inconsistant with the dogs. Did anyone notice that? At the beginning, the dog was different than what they actually "found".

what dog at the beginning?

The dog that Damien looked at around the time the nanny hung herself. Sure, it was black but it DEFINITLEY wasn't the same dog that it was later on, when they brought one home. -Kegan

You mean the looks Damien gave?
I thought that was awful and a bad choice. You have a creepy kid and then you telegraph his creepiness to the audience in almost a winking kind of way.

I thought the Damien in the original was more eerie. He was very blank, which to me is a lot scarier than winking to the camera every 5 minutes.

Well, not the look he gave.

Just the way he looks, I personally think its pretty freaky, cute kid though.

The protector and messenger thing actually makes sense. I was just pointing out a difference from the original, where the dog stayed the same throughout. Good call on the difference between the two though.

Some may agree, some may disagree. I loved the original "The Omen" but if i could only say 2 words about the remake it would be simply:

SUCKED
BALLS

ahh whatever that was the best time i've ever had at a movie...

when stiles was brushing her teeth and closed the mirror my friend next to me actually screamed. right afterwards he goes "dammit"...and i was laughing for a long time.
