Couple more snakes, a flower and a wild bunny? I think he was dropped off in the bush when someone decided he was a dumb idea for an Easter gift. Nonetheless, he's happy and healthy
I try to get a shot where the subject is lit more than the background then shoot at f5.6 or less depending on lens. I end up with a clear subject and shallow DOF. In PS, I use selective color and drag the blacks (and any color that doesn't affect the subject too much) down to it's darkest levels which usually pulls the background way down. obviously, if a lot of shadows and blacks are part of your subject, it tends not to work as well. If nothing around here needs fixing, maintaining or cleaning (even if it does sometimes ) and the weathers good (or bad) I'm out the door with my camera. Probably 30+ hours a week give or take.
Thanks Larry...This kind of shot is always hard for me because I look at the shot and see something but can't put my finger on what. I get the shot home and hopefully, I've captured whatever it was I thought I saw. If it passes all the tests and I'm confident that I still see what I first saw I'll post it. BUT!... There's no guarantee that what I thought I saw will be seen by others, one just kind of throws it out there and hopes someone will pick up on it. Thanks man
And two from the little P&S because it all looked so dramatic
My second ever panno (you can tell right?) Just quickly tried a hand held panorama six shots stitched in PS. This was an attempt to show the area where I shoot all my ducks
I love nature as much as the next guy, have traveled to most of the US National Parks and some of Canada's, but I don't care much for flowers. They never really appealed to me from a photographic standpoint.
Until these. These are beautiful. Perfect light. Simple and well shot. Wish I had shot them cause I'd hang them in my office.
