This is how the ship gets around so quickly, Monster jets tied to the roof...LOL. Sadly, I believe this is one of the last times I will see this huge ship as she and many more like her will be parked not too long from now. Call me a doom and gloomer but I sense a huge disturbance in the force just around the corner
This one so takes me back to my childhood cos I had a little yellow and white pedal car I loved more than life itself. Darn cheap to run as well. The engine would just get out of the car, go into the house for lunch, get back in the car and run flat out till dinnertime...
Mino...not only do you get supremely crisp shots...your exposure is always right on the money. Do you manually set your exposure or do you let the cam guide you? Fantastic stuff.
Metering...WTF is metering? I use the cameras ESP metering quite often but also use spot metering too. I use the cameras spot meter to get readings throughout the image then make a choice based on that info. If I'm not really sure and the sun is too bright to trust the LCD for review I'll bracket the exposure. When using the 70-300mm for fast action shots in the 200 to 300mm focal length range I've been known to switch the camera to sports mode. I shoot fully manual 98% of the time but plan to start messing with aperture priority in the next while.
I also use PS PP in all shots as I believe it is the new darkroom. In the old days of shooting film I'd shoot two or three rolls of film every few weeks or months, drop them off at the drug store, get them back in a few days and wish I had more control over the processing of the image. Black and white darkroom stuff was no joy for me either. I had more control but the process itself did nothing for me. When I got a handle on Photoshop in college I was born again! All I need to do now is get a reasonable exposure, focus and composition in a shot and the rest is all processing. My images are opened RAW in PS. I first adjust levels manually, Then I adjust colors using selective color and finally a bit of sharpening to counteract the jpeg compression syndrome, thow a frame on it and Post it here or elsewhere and wait for the reviews to come in
