Not a great shot but I thought I'd share because.... As soon as I lifted the camera and framed him he/she looked at me like this. Maybe you had to be there but I thought he/she was curious
Wow...what is it about B and W homeless photos! My turn. I am going to have to go to downtown Orlando and do some homeless photos! Why do we find this an art? And do you sleep?
however perfect society may or may not be there are always going to be those who fall through the cracks for one reason or another. Life...One size does not fit all!
And yes I sleep, have to as hard as I work. If I don't sleep I don't work, if I don't work I'd be on the wrong side of the lens for this shot.
Ps...I may have misunderstood the "do you sleep" part, I thought you meant do I sleep knowing that this guy is homeless, But maybe you meant That I post or reply at all hours
Damn, I'm so jealous of all the great photographic opportunities you have up there. I know there's much more too it than having opportunities, but you sure have a great deal of variety of material to choose from.
Yeah it's a very diverse city in terms of photographic opportunity. The photo above is the beginning of three very nasty block inhabited by serious drug addicts and riff raff with a smattering of very poor down and outers. In less than twenty minutes, you can be in the total wilderness of a huge urban bird sanctuary or ten minutes in the other direction your beside the Pacific ocean with a spectacular view of the mountains. I've lived in many other cities in my wanderlust days but I always pined for and finally returned to Vancouver. Though I forget sometimes, I realize how fortunate I am to live in this great city
