The Newport Move-Blog

Robbie Comeau

Como's back. back again
Just a little thread to keep up and running for when I move to Newport, CA in March to hopefully the end of May. (3 months)

Will be staying in Newport, hopefully getting an apartment by the beach (5-10m minute walk, unless any DVX users want to escort me to the beach by car and be my slave everyday)

I'm looking to connect with people and maybe even meet up and get a drink or something (Coke, I'm only 18).

Also, producing a film would be amazing as well.

I've never been to CA, and I've never even been on a film set (just my own:)).

This move is to get experience by living on my own (with a friend), spending my money wisely, and to connect and meet people all around.

Hope it goes well, and lets keep in touch!

Robbie, we will definitely be talking more as it gets closer to March. I am hoping that we will be able to get together at least once. Maybe we can film that script we worked on (the guy who wanted it wasn't able to do it so it's mine again :)) We can get a bunch of DVXusers on the set.

You will be in my neighborhood Robbie.

There are a few apartment buildings near the beach but as far as I know all the 5-10 minute walking distances are houses. Doesn't really matter though, Craigslist a cheap beach cruiser and you will be golden. (It's what all the local's use). Also Jane's Corn Dogs near the Newport Beach Pier is open till midnight most nights and you can a wide range of beach junk food anytime. The Newport Pier is also a good place to hangout. For some reason I'm mainly there between 10PM-3AM and I never get tired of the people you can run into in the middle of the night; brake dancers, Red Bull girls, fishermen with their whole families, Vespa clubs...

If you have any questions about where to go or what to do let me know.

I am out here for school, I'm technically in Costa Mesa, but it is literally like a mile from Newport. I would definitely be interested in working on something when you are out here......maybe I could get in on what Penguin is talking about? Keep me updated man!

Robbie, I'm genuinely interested in keeping up with this. I'll be moving out that way in a couple years. Good luck with things.
