The most disgusting fridge you've ever seen.

(EDIT: Oh yeah -- some people might not know/ remember that we were away from home for 2 months due to Katrina. We evacuated in a hurry and you never believe its really going to happen anyway so the last thing you think of is your fridge. So...)

Instead of having a maintenance person move our maggot infested, toxic fridge out, the property manager just relied on the guys from Best Buy to do it as they moved in the new fridge. Of course they didn't give a crap about the apartment - and they shouldn't really - but wouldn't wait for me to put trashbags down once we realized it was leaking toxic sludge to protect the carpet. And then they left the fridge in the court yard where I would have to devise a way with only the help of my 110 pound GF to get it over a 9 foot wrought iron spiked enclosure.

Here's a clip of the fridge that I sent the property owner in California:
(they say on the news not to open these for health reasons, to duct tape them closed and leave on the curb for city maintenance)

watch with sound on for full effect :cheesy:

(note -- somtimes it says the page isn't there for some reason -- but when I hit refresh it opens up fine. right click and save as if you can though)

I can empathize, sympathize, and any other 'thize you can name! (And you were right, the sound effects were "perfect"! The hubby is still laughing  )

well they weren't "FX", lol.

that was all cinema verite!

I do have the world's worst gag reflex, however, gets me out of all sorts of nasty stuff!
haha!

Wait, isn't that how a fridge is suppose to look? You've got your milk, your cheese, your flies, your horrid stinch. Am I missing something?

Nastay... what the hell is wrong with me?
Why would I check this thread first thing in the morning with a title like that?
:)

Glad to see you got a new fridge!

That's some funk. Now my real question, is why did you let your fridge get like that!?

EDIT: nevermind, just remembered you've been gone. DUH!

I don't have a picture to post but evertime I watch DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, I kringe every time I see Terry Hatcher in her kitchen on the show. I was in her "set" house on Wisteria lane shooting some behind the scenes stuff last fall and someone left a bunch of props like milk, eggs, butter, and some fruit that smelled like it had been in there for days! When my producer opened the fridge, I about dropped the camera! Funky isn't even the word! That smell was horrible!

HAha, Lol you guys!

Mmm, that was in the house about two weeks. But it was taped closed and pretty much sealed so its own little biosphere was going on in there that whole time.

Yeah, Kai - that's what happens when you are gone for 2 months and the power is off for at least a month of that time. But there are fridges all over, placed out on teh curb for collection, as you can see if you so desire in my little halloween greeting card short:
