So me and my group of friends got nominated for our 24 hour mad film dash movie for best direction/cinematography. We didn't win, but just the fact that we got nominated (there were 70 groups who entered) was amazing to me.
In my opinion, this is exactly what I needed. If I had won, my head would have gotten big and my progress would have slowed. But knowing now that I have at least a minute/tiny bit of potential makes me want to work harder than ever before. The first time I hit record on a camera for the purpose of narrative film making was one year ago today, and I have been addicted to film ever since. It's like a drug to me, my own personal brand of crack cocaine

I just wanted to vent, because I am so elated I felt that this was too much inspiration for one person to share in. To improving yourself every step of the way...
