Yes, it's true. I've been selected for Major.

Now -- what does this mean?

About $700 a month more for doing my same job!!! HAHAHA!

My line number is 1857 which means Congress has to approve funding at least that many... which they've always funded full lists in the past.

AND - 1856 have to be promoted before me.

So - I'm expecting a wait of at least a year before pinning on.

My online personna has, for me, always been CaptainMench so I'm planning on keeping it that way.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of work do you do in the services?

As for what I actually do in the AF... I'm a commander of an AF Band. If you look closely at my avatar... you can see the horns in the background. That shot was taken on the 4th of July some a few years ago for one of our performance on the Today show.

That's awesome. Wish there was a better word than "awesome," but it pretty much sums it up. Awesome and Congratulations. Don't forget about us when you become a Major General. :)
