this isnt uncommon. in a psych course i took, my teacher actually read off stories where women fell in love with their captors. its a very emotional situation, and alot of people get attached to their captors. my teacher insisted there was a lot of genuine psych behind situations like this. look at Buffalo '66

Husband comes home after a long day of work at KFC, only to find his dirty laundry still sitting in the corner of his bedroom. His wife is on the bed asleep and Jerry Springer plays on the television.

HUSBAND
Woman, git up out that bed and do my laundry 'fore I shoot you in your groin again.​

WIFE​
OHHH, I'm so sorry my love. You treat me so great...I love you so much!!!​
