"The Longest Yard" Remake

[dakotapod]

They made a remake of "The Longest Yard" with Adam Sandler

I'm not too pleased about this.

Nothing against Sandler, but why do they have to do **** like this? There must be 100,000 screenplays unmade for everyone made - Why re-do ****? Do they have a staff sitting around watching old movies trying to decide what can be remade? Do these clowns even look at new scripts?

Yep, looks like ****.
Too bad Sandler is taking these **** roles. It's the 90's all over again. I was really pleased with him in Punch Drunk Love, and he at least made an effort in Spanglish (still sucked though), but this career move is ridiculous. Two steps forward and one step back I guess.

I hope the rumor of him starring in Tarantino's upcoming war movie are false. He's just too much of a risk.
