I am writing this up becasue I think a lot of people out there are scouring the internet for someone to say "THIS IS THE ADAPTER TO BUY". You will not find that, trust me I know, I searched forever, and I am still not sure on which one to buy. So what I am going to try to do is to write up FACTS, Give a link to REVIEWS and TEST FOOTAGE for each adapter. There will be alot of copying and pasting from other websites, But this is done only to help :) Of course there is a lot more information on each product, click the link to their websites to read more.

I am starting with the Letus Products, and in time will do all the rest, I am not doing Letus first because I think they are better then others, I just like the use of the clapper in their logo :)

We will start out with the Letus Models.

So hopefully this is hepful, I mean all of this and more can be found with just a bit of searching, I thought this might be a bit helpful to some, please write more if I am missing anything, but please keep it strictly to Letus, that way if someone is interested in Letus and want to know more, this is the place to come! If you want me to add more to this, PM and I will copy and paste your information you find. Good Luck to the ever searching of the BEST ADAPTER!

Hi there Donald, I applaud your efforts but have a couple of suggestions:

You may want to also include current list pricing in your facts section so folks don't have to hunt around for that info... Also, perhaps you might put statements such as 'Great for Indie Filmmakers', 'Beautiful Film-Look Bokeh', 'Stunningly beautiful image colors', etc. in a separately titled section because they are completely subjective and not really hard 'facts' per se. Or omit them completely; beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, right?

Moreover, including statements such as 'Best edge-to-edge sharpness in the industry' etc. may be accurate at some point in time, but that can easily change [and certainly does thank goodness] since initial production introductions. This might be potentially misleading to prospective buyers unless you intend to always keep your posts up-to-date. If you want to include such statements, they should be backed up with charts, etc. as proof.

Anyway, good luck with your endeavor; I'm sure many will appreciate your efforts

Cheers,

Interesting mission:

a few suggestions:
- Leave out all youtube links. They're soft and blurry, generally an insult to the eye and the manufacturer's sharp intentions.
- Separate facts from lore: ie: Best Edge to Edge to sharpness.... Unless this can be backed up with links to properly done A/B tests it's hearsay presented as fact.

However, considering you've the time to research this, I've a proposal that may be far more useful. Considering most the info you compiled can be readily found on their sites why not conduct a proper survey concerning reliability and customer service. Compile answers to questions such as when bought, # days used, # hours /day, # breakdowns, # mechanical failures, # electrical failures, etc.

I feel this would be truly useful as this is info that no manufacturer publishes . It would definitely influence buying decisions. Everyone's always asking what's the best adaptor? And they all rock in their own special way but the only way we know about its reliability is through rumour , hearsay or first hand on set. As these are pieces of gear many of us make a living from, we need to know if they hold up day after day or may likely die by the 20th day.

I pretty much sold all my adaptor gear because everyone I've bought has died on me on the job at one time or another. As I don't work alone but with crews on the clock, this ends up being costly and presently too much a risk for me to bare. There's a reason I bought a Honda to get to work and not GM.

Get that info and you'll be a hero to hundreds perhaps thousands.
