The Juice and the Hall of Fame

Hm. I don't know... it's like one of those things where we KNOW guys have been using steroids in baseball... and probably still do... I say legalize it for the MLB...

I though McGwire only took andro... a testosterone booster... If not, what else did he take?

That's been his story all along, yeah--until suddenly he was under oath in front of Congress last year, and he started going with what Isaac_Brody quoted. Oh, well, at least he didn't get caught in a blatant lie like Rafael Palmeiro...

While I like Big Mac and closely followed his homerun chase of Roger Maris, I, too feel his admission into the hall would be wrong at this time. Am I certain he took steroids? No. Do I believe he did? Yes. Let's face it, those 60 and 70 homerun seasons of McGwire, Sosa and Bonds are awfully damned suspicious. In movie terms, I am unable to suspend my disbelief.

So much for actually working for results
Well said.

Sports is about pushing the human body to do the most (and best) it can do. Naturally. Enhancers of any kind deminish the spirit of sports and make it meaningless. There should be no shortcuts. Either you have what it takes or you don't. It's survival of the fittest. NOT survival of the dopest.

"Hey, some guy on PCP just High Jumped 23 meters. But wait! Eddie "Speed Freak" Carlson is up next."

Legalize it? What are you nuts!?!?

Thing is, you are always going to have some athletic purists who wish to never inject a kidney killing substance into their body. Shouldn't they be allowed to compete on a level playing field?
