So, I get this frantic Chat message through Facebook, "People are ripping me off!" "What?" It's one of the set photogs from my last gig. Yeah, he knows I was a Producer on it. (first mistake) "Okay why do you think that?" "I am seeing pics all over FB and no one's giving me credit" "Did you watermark your pics?" "No" "Okay. Pull all of them down. Watermark ALL of them and then repost them." "Why are people doing this?" "Look, sometimes people are excited about what they see, and don't consider what went into it."
Damn it, my involvement on this is over! I busted my ass on it and got it done! Humvees, 15 mercenaries, weapons, uniforms, stunts, stunt drivers, actors, Tac Gear. Now I am still smoothing feathers and working on it. At f-ing 1 in the morning, 2 weeks after wrap. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
People, if you have set photogs, and you use their pics for any reason, GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE! Still photos are very important in many areas. Don't disenfranchise them by not giving credit for their hard work! Pass this on to everyone that might be jeopardizing the wonderful photos being taken on your set.
