The Interview

Saw it in a packed theater. Wow! This is a really good movie! Fast paced, good solid script, doesn't drag, great performance by the cast, some really cool shots in the movie, and most of all...FUNNY! Laughed my ass off along with the rest of the audience. Go see this one! It's a great Holiday movie to just have a good time and laugh. Is it political? Well...I guess there's a political statement, but not one that gets in the way of the comedy.

I hated it. Was in an awkward space between taking itself seriously and being ridiculously stupid in typical Rogen-Franco fashion.

Cinematography was surprisingly quite good, though.

I totally agree with you on the cinematography. There were some great shots. I can only imagine that Rogen as a novice director had a lot of help from some very talented crew on this one.

I do understand not everyone likes the Rogen and Franco brand of humor. If you never liked one of their movies, it stands to reason you wouldn't like this, and why would you even go see it?

Out of curiosity, what's a recent comedy that you DID like?

Oh no, I do like them, particularly Rogen. Everything that man says is funny. But after 3 ass jokes within about 5 minutes, I do kind of reach my limit.

It's exactly what I expected it to be. Big, dumb, lots of bad jokes & a few good ones. Somebody give Randall Park a cookie, that guy went all out and had me laughing the first time he showed up with that big smile lol. Franco was the same idiot he played in This Is The End and some others. Rogan made me laugh as usual. Him being frustrated on-screen always makes me laugh at least a little bit.

I laughed pretty hard at a few parts but overall it's not something I'll ever revisit. Also agree the cinematography was pretty.

I don't totally disagree, but I thought Franco's performance was more nuanced than that. He played a different kind of idiot than in The End. I think this was his best idiot performance to date!

As far as worthy of a revisit, well it's no Stripes, but it was still funny.

I was the stills photographer on The Interview and I can tell you the pretty cinematography was done by Brandon Trost! Most fun film I ever worked on.

Oh boy, that's another thing I thought about while watching it - being on-set must have been a blast!

I liked it. I feel like the film really belongs in a category of it's own - the Bromantic Comedy :)
