The Hobbit

This is going to be a strange question, but I've asked my agent to look into this to see if there is any way i can be involved in any way shape or form in the next two installments of The Hobbit,

Basically, what she needs to find out is who are the casting houses for the Hobbit? Since it's being shot in New Zealand and most likely in studio, does anyone have any clue as to finding out who is casting this sucker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey,

I don't know for sure but Wingnut films is listed as a production house for The Hobbit, which is Peter Jackson's studio here in Wellington. These were the addresses people used to find info about casting for LOTR, I imagine they'll be the same for the Hobbit films in terms of the NZ side of things. There's probably another place that isn't in New Zealand as well, not sure where though.

Aren't you PAYING your agent to do this for you?

Will you pay me?

Agent only gets paid when I make money, but at the same time im trying to help her find the casting house for the films because she is also looking.

It won't start shooting till 2010.

MGM, New Line, and Wingnut are the companies producing it. As for casting - can't find anything. They might not say anything about that till things start heating up.

Are you looking to audition somewhere in Canada or are you wanting to send in a tape / DVD? I've looked it up on imdb pro and it seems like the same NZ casting directors have been on all 3 of the previous films. Granted it will have a different director for the next film, but I would bet that they would use the same casting people. There's no contact information for either of the NZ people but it would probably be relatively easy to find out who she works with. Let me know if you need their names and I can pm them to you.

I basically told her, realistically the chances of me attaining a role or even getting to audition are slim to none, but to somehow be simply involved with the project would be a dream of a lifetime for me as the first three films changed the way i viewed my career.

So literally, if i had to fly myself down and pose as even something as mundane as an extra, that would suffice. But being part of the magic is all i want.

plz pm me anything you can Mr Marshall :)
