Did all the things a good drama should, made me laugh, be happy, sad.

Good, solid movie. Oh and who doesn't like Emma Stone?

I agree, though I think I'd rate it 3/5. Some of the setups and payoffs were annoyingly abrupt, and that scene where Emma Stone is supposed to look like 15 or something was just... weird? Still, quite good movie and probably worth checking out seeing as it's pulling a Blind Side.

How good was Bryce Dallas-Howard and her character? Really good.

Agreed with your comments too, mums won't notice though.
