I'm curious to know what people think about Rogen's Green Hornet coming late this year?

As for myself, as the biggest Rogen fan in the world, I'm excited.

Supposedly, the action scenes are going to phenomenal.

Well with Michel Gondry directing it should at least be interesting, even if it's a disaster.

Remaking anything from Bruce Lee is bound to be a disaster, even if Spielberg directed it. The Green Hornet was a crap show that only stood out because of Lee. He completely outshined the "lead" actor of the show. Lee was supposed to be the usual "comic sidekick" usually reserved to ethnic stereotypes back in those times, and his presence just completely made the show turn around. His martial arts skills and presence on screen made the "lead" look ridiculous, which made the writers of the show giving Lee a much more important role in it.

As for this remake, the travesty is casting Jay Chow, who is a Taiwan pop singer with ZERO martial arts skills training prior to this film. He looks good, but is no Martial Artist or anything close to it.

This is going exactly the way it went for Dragon Ball. This film and Dragon Ball were, ironically, pet projects of Stephen Chow, director and lead actor of Kung-Fu Hustle. He's a huge, huge fan of both shows and in both films he jumped ship. This makes me hear all those warning bells ringing, specially since I come from Asia.

I just want to see how Gondry does an action film. He is very creative. I wish Stephen Chow would have stayed involved. He is amazing on many levels, But if the trailer is cool I will check it out. I have never seen a single episode of the original.

It was just delayed for 3 more weeks, they are doing a post 3D conversion process to it. Ugghh, not the same.

Iron Man II was THIS CLOSE btw. Iron Man 3(D) will be done right in real 3D. I'm not a fan of post 3d movies, they suck.
