Ok, I have no problem with this seemingly cliche tail of overcoming obstacles and whatnot. But what I am upset about was the trailer.

They used the music from ''Rudy"! I grew up watching Rudy and the sound track is still one of my favorite from any movie ever made. This better be just for the trailer or I will be very angry to think that they can just recycle such amazing music like that.

It just seems like a Dead Poets Society type film to me....

...which I never did see.

I was more put off by the trailer when it said "produced by Oprah Winfrey"... up to that point, it looked like it could be pretty inspirational and so forth...

Just saw this today -- definitely my favorite film of the year. Very powerful and moving.

I think they did a good job of showing the cruelty and hatred of "Anglo Saxons" of the day balanced with Anglos who show no hostility toward African Americans.

Denzel turned in yet another stellar performance, and I was equally impressed with ensemble cast of co-stars.

I would definitely recommend this film to everyone!

Oh yes, I second Larry's review... one of THE BEST films I've seen this year... definitely top 3! I loved it... it was emotional, powerful, moving... fantastic!
