The Good Life!

Here I sit on my king sized bed, surfing the net on high speed ( I get to catch up on the Clips section) drinking the Boddingtons I picked up at the corner store ( I love Quebec) The only bad news as I have to shoot in about seven hours, but I just can not sleep and this is my rambling. Sometimes you just have nothing to complain about.

I would love to just be havng your bad news. Its better to be in bed and unable to sleep, than IN bed and ABLE to sleep, but something keeps pulling you back frm that blissful brink of black nothingness that is the gateway to Land of Dreaming...on the edge of sleep, phone rings: Mom, can you come pick me up from work? then, just beginning that downward fall again when you hear the excruciatingly shrill mouse-like voices of "warrior girl" japanimation on cartoon network. Oh, but once again, you teeter on the brink of the delicious black void od sleep when you hear "Mom, I think I just locked your keys up in your office....with the cat". So, as a result of thrice being denied entry to the zenlike state of peaceful sleep, I became a raving lunatic. My house keys, office keys, car keys, and cat in heat were all locked up in one room with the sum total of my life, behind the one door I could not open. I did what any woman would do. First, I tried a nail file and when that didnt work, I got my drill and put holes all in the door (apparently just to make me feel better to see structural damage that I must pay to repair) and then got a hammer that somehow didnt make it back to the toolbox (toolbox being behind above-referenced locked door) and smashed the offending doorknob until it yielded to my will. Door opened, cat free, equipment safe. Unfortunately, also, door destroyed, cat traumatized, and equipment trembling in fear that I may pick it up when I put the hammer and drill down.

Now I am here with only four hours of sleep, must go to a regrettably soul-less accounting job for eight hours, and manage to stay awake while peering at numbers on a screen in front of my face. I would gladly take your place in that kingsized bed, with highspeed and drink aplenty.

Ok, rant is over. (I've been having a lot of rants lately, but have spared you all the gory details....you lucky bunch!)

JUST PUT THE TOOLS DOWN, it will be OK. Being that has been hours since your post, I would hope and imagine they are not still in your grasp.
I feel your pain, actually I was doing anything but complaining. Just enjoying the luxuries of work travel. Usual I find things to ***** about, but the fact that I am about to leave my room, and somebody else is going to make my bed, and give me fresh towels has me happy today.
And ah yes the high speed, internet radio, all the good stuff. So I have my fresh coffee ready to plunge, and then I am off to gather just a bit more TV for the world, and they pay me. Today I am happy, but Check back in twelve hours.

All that and in one of the most scenic cities in North America, (although I do not think I am leaving the hotel today).

That sounds like all the trips I've taken across North America. I don't see **** except for hotel rooms and wherever I happen to be shooting that day (with a bar or two thrown in, of course).
