this movie had everything from the typical hero, the misunderstood genius to the pretty face lingering around.
and covered every forumulaic plot points- and was mashed together in a nonsense order.
Other than that it was a great action flick and a fun ride. They need to start making more movies like these AGAIN. :D


how was the original? anyone?

Never seen either, but I heard the original was far better.

I really liked the original. It was a fairly simple production with a great story and a good cast.

Rent the original and see for yourself. It's a true classic.

Yep. I haven't seen it in years. But I liked it enough that when I heard they were remaiking it, I cringed.

The original was one of those films you never really forgot even years later. I remember the edge of the seat, white knuckles I had even as a kid the first time I saw it. I hope they have done justice to the remake. (Though I am beginning to wonder if someone put something in the L.A. drinking water that inhibits original, new ideas!)

Those that have the Fox Movie Channel - "The Flight Of The Phoenix " is playing next few weeks (The original)
