The First Feature Film on iTunes

iTunes has it's first feature up. Looks like the first step to offering a lot more of 'em.

Course this first film is High School Musical. But it's wildly popular with the Tweenie crowd. It's their version of Grease.

I must admit though that I did purchase it. It's kinda cheesy in that family-friendly way. But I know one of the actresses who's in it. So I wanted to check her out.

Could be the beginning of a new distribution channel for all of us... hmmm...

Here's a link to the story.

I think we are going to see alot of Pixar and disney stuff. But that is all good

I'm hoping they open it up to indies like their music service is. But time will tell.

So you're in Utah? I live in Salt Lake! We'll have to talk more. :)

I think it would be awesome to distribute movies on iTunes for indies. That would be the first step, the next would be how we can create more exposure. How to market them, and make them searchable in a way that the cream rises to the top.

The problem I see with some of these services, i.e. Myspace films, etc, is that usually only crap movies get the spotlight, while the better ones go unnoticed.

A real revolution would be to find a way to free all true artists so that they can create monetary compensation and overcome the current system of mundaneness we have in place.

 to Steve Jobs for, hopefully, providing the first step.
