THE field monitor...

I've got the PVM 9L3, and I can't say enough good things about it.

bear in mind that with filed monitors, it's not just the monitor, but you also need to buy the batteries, at least four, and the charger, all which are EXTRA cost and they aren't cheap!

I know some folks don't agree with this, but for field work I use a LCD 12v TV and lug out a deep cycle marine battery. you can shoot all day for a fraction of the cost. I just need to see that I'm in focus and what's happing.

Why are those monitors soo exspensive?
They can be calibrated using the blue gun, have underscan and 16:9/ 4:3 switchable. They are a great weight and size for feild use, and can be run off of a battery pack.

Not simple things to accomplish in such a small case.

will any of these monitors be able to accept HVX input?

i'd like to think i'll be buying one when they come out...

They're all standard-def monitors. You could likely pipe the S-video output of the HVX to them, but they won't be of much use for high-def signals.
