The Famous "PC vs. MAC" question

Hello there everyone,

I have to ask this famous question.

Would you

A. Build a Dual P4 PC with Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects, DVD Encore, OR

B. Use a Dual G5 with the Apple Production Suite that's got Final Cut Pro HD, Motion Soundtrack, and DVD Studio Pro?

Please motivate your answer!

I think instead you should spend the $4,000 on researching the clicking sound inside the DVX.

Do you like PC or Mac?
Which do you know better?
Do you like FCP or Adobe?
Which do you know better?
Have you ever used after effects?
Motion?
Why don’t you have an opinion about which you should buy?

What have you already used?
What software do you know?
Are you going to put this together yourself with non-name brand gear or are you going to buy it pre-packaged?
Are you using the machine for other things?

You can go to an Apple store and try all the Apple software and machines.

Well thanks for the replies.

I have a humble little PC Retail shop here in South Africa.

I know the PC platform alot better than Mac, so also the adobe software.

The reason I am asking is the following:

I'm looking for better render speed!! more effeciency. and stability.

Also the MAC seems to have better true color representation (the Gamma is more like TV's it seems).

Now with tweaking I can get the PC color output close and all.

But will the dual CPU PC render Speed match up to the tools and hardware of a dual Mac G5?

Thats the question ladies and gentlemen.
