I expected nothing from this movie, but it is the most fun movie I've seen all year.

Nothing like the TV show, it's an action-comedy love letter to the stunt department, and to movies and TV. The movie/TV in-jokes and references never stop. The on-set in-jokes never stop. If you've spent time on big sets, you will love it.

Will definitely watch. I generally have a good time with shows that take place on set, although I have to say I wasn't too impressed with first episode of The Franchise.

One of my favorite movies of the year, and possibly all time! I think I've seen it eight times now. My wife and I watched the extended cut once, and while it does explain a few things, we both like the theatrical version better.

The 4K Blu-ray comes with both versions, fortunately.

 

[Run&Gun]

Watched it on the red-eye coming back from a shoot in CA this past weekend. I wasn’t expecting anything, either. Yeah, lots of action and comedy. I considered it both entertaining and garbage all at the same time. Even for what it was, the premise/plot seemed too far fetched. Almost as bad as the movie they were making in the movie. Which I think was actually a nod, wink, wink to just how out there Fall Guy itself was.

I also grew up watching the TV show and the tack-on credit scene with Lee Majors and Heather Thomas just ended up feeling sad and stupid. If they wanted to give them cameo’s, they should have worked them into the actual movie proper. Lots of better and funnier ways they could have pulled that off. It was actually the most egregious part of the movie.
