Enjoy, let me know what you think!

I have been blogging some of the production process here: (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=194349)

I will have production photos really soon, I'm just waiting for them to get do.

For now here are some ungraded stills.

Redrock?

Redrock?

Hi Dillon,

Wondering if you used a Redrock to get that film look on your HVX. The footage looks so textured. Very nice.

What kind of set up were you using?

I just want to vent to you guys, since you are the only ones who understand. But G-D it! Under-exposed footage is the worst!!! It looked fine on the monitor and the zebra said it was fine too, but some how I ended up with one terribly underexposed. I attached it below...I pushed it to have the original intended gamma/color grade. But man did it take a while to get it there. They both look terrible side by side, but after the encoding and noise removal process it will fit in perfectly...

WOW!!, Great work!!. I like the song to. He has a different voice, it's refreshing to hear something dif.
A little fog here and there for texture could have helped a bit. but thats opinion. Where can I hear more of their tunes?

congratulations Dillon!
My critics:
1.too many close-ups, not enough wide shots->a little tiring for the eyes and I lose my attention
2.looks too much like your other music videos (location/movements/clothing/hair/acting/CC)

Nice crane shots!!

1. I agree, a lot fo the wide shots we got ended up being too under exposed.
2. Yeah, I agree with a couple of things you mentioned in your statement. This is my last music video that's purely outdoor location based for both performance and concept. We just started officially last year as a production company. We have not had big enough budgets to venture else where with lighting a location (too expensive). But we are bringing in bigger budgets and our other videos will surely not look similar to each other in the overall "look".

I disagree on movements, hair, and Coloring though. I think my camera movement is part of a "style" which of course will change as I hire out DPs, but I think that is irrelevant for now. Regarding hair, they just have the hair they bring with them to the video. I don't see people's hair as a trending similarity in my videos, I have actually used one actor that I enjoyed working with in two different music videos. I disagree that my other videos have similar color correct.

Thank you for the constructive criticism though. It is always welcomed and appreciated!
