The Edukators
A German Film
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408777/

It's a movie about two friends who break into people's houses and rearrange their possessions. Overall, I found it to be very well shot (I enjoy a good documentary feel), and found it to have no need of hurry or convention. At 2:09, it still felt light as a feather. I haven't really tried to gauge my feelings on the politics of the movie, but I thought it was intelligent at least.

Thought it might have been shot on a dvx, turns out it was shot on an SDX900.

I'll give a link to the trailer... but I'd recommend not-watching it. It makes it seems like a hip fast-paced movie, which it is not. It also made me anticipate plot developments, rather than just enjoy the movie fully.

If you're interested in a beautiful, well-drawn character piece with a sociopolitical twist I'd recommend The Edukators. (it's on dvd)

Little bit on the exposure and processing:

I really liked this one too. Great story. I didn't particularly care for how it was shot but I image the budget dictated the style quite a bit.

apperantly there are two endings one for the german release and one for the American release.

It felt a little 'indie' at times (the first car scene, mostly), but I thought it was really well-shot otherwise.

I don't know if it's just that I've grown up with reality television, but the style felt organic to me. I would say it was far prettier than Collateral or the shots I've seen from November, and the former was shot on hd with a much larger budget (though they had location limitations).
