there are a LOT! but the only one I know I HAVE to get is
I've held out THIS ENTIRE TIME waiting for whatever amazing box set was coming out... and nothing, just box'em up together.
Oh well, when u think about it, The Ultimate Matrix is 10 discs and they added a bunch of ****. LOTR, without added anything to the box, is 12... so I'm not sure what else I would ask for, even if I'm just a little dissapointed.
Dude, that's a long time to wait just to save a couple of bucks. How much do you even save, given that everyone sells DVDs at pretty good discounts their week of release?

No man, I didnt plan to save anything, in fact, I hoped to pay more. The plan was to wait untill they were all released, of coarse then they would box them all up together, put it in some awesome packaging (LOTR EE Battlechest Collector's Tin maybe?) and add booklets and more extras.
Of coarse it would cost $300, but I was ready! So I wait 3 years, and all they do is put the 3 releases together... So I guess That's what I'll get
But it's hard to get that one, very expensive. I loved that movie, one of my faves.
I know... I want a copy so bad.
Great list TC. I like a lot of those films. (although some I've never seen, or heard of. This place continues to stretch my horizons) I know you didn't ask but...
I do not understand what people see in Barton Fink. Yea, yea, I know about the layers of symbolism. But it's boring and unfunny (yet shows upin the comedy section of my library) And I love the Coens.
was Stander any good?
Yes, I enjoyed it.
In the early 1980's, a white police officer (Andres Stander, played by Thomas Jane) in Johannesburg suffers a crisis of conscience due to his involvement in apartheid and becomes a notorious bank robber on the run. Then from 1983 to 1984, the "Stander gang" (Stander, Alan Heyl & Patrick McCall) rob as many as four banks a day.
"Stander" is based on the true story of André Stander, a South African homicide/robbery police captain who became one of the most notorious bank robbers in the country. After participating in the brutal killing in a riot in the line of duty, Stander decided to defy the very system he was part of, and set off on an audacious crime spree; robbing banks during his lunch hour then returning to the scene of the crime to lead the investigation. Finally, caught by the same police force he worked with, he was jailed and, subsequently befriended Allan Heyl and Lee McCall. After a daring jailbreak, the 'Stander Gang' committed a large number of robberies, which grew increasingly bold over time. In the eyes of the public, their blatant disregard for authority made them South Africa's most popular anti-heroes. In reality, however, Stander and his gang were the most wanted men in the country.
I'll take EVERYTHING from Olivefilms.com. Those cats have been draining my pockets...they've got some titles that I can't rent out here in the boondocks...so I buy what looks good.
But I'll definitely be wishing for the Napoleon Dynamite DVD and it doesn't come out til Jan, but I want The Village DVD too.
