Alright the little one seems to be adjusting very well. An unbelievable turn around in just about 12 hours. She is hoping around, and having a blast with my other dog. She needs a name.

As long it doesn't have a human's name. That's a pet peeve of mine. If you guys are a Mac household, what about iDog?

iDog isn't bad... that earned some loud laughter, although I gotta' say growing up a friend of mine had a weiner-dog named, "Eric" and I loved that.

Can you post a pic? What kind of dog is it? I'm sorry but I don't like any of the names you have in the poll. I rarely call dogs by the same name for long anyway. My brother has a weiner-dog named, "Schnitzle" and I call him "Suznee", pronounced "suz-knee".

A friend of mine has a dalmation named Scotty and I call him "Punkin-head".

Every other dog I meet is called, "buddy" until the owner tells me his/her name... and I've been amazed at how many times the name was buddy.

Personally I have always named my pets after players on the Yankees... I got Yogi (the dog) right now. I had Mattingly (the fish), but he got old and died... Hopefully after the winter I'll get Mickey, another dog.

Actually, on a serious note about naming the dog, they say that you should not name a dog with anything longer than two syllables. Something about a dog's hearing. They say ideal is really the one syllable thing, but you can get away with two. Just FYI. I think Zydeco is a great name, but the dog may never respond to it.

Simply not true. My dog's name was "Fido, you stupid fat ****, better get your lazy stinky ass over here and clean up your own **** or I'm gonna hide it in your dog food." He would always come running.

A new one, that seems to be a front runner.

My vote is DV, and get her a companion and call it X if they have a baby name the baby User.

Shouldn't it be:

Dog - DVX, companion - User and their baby - Flick (Film or Masterpiece don't really sound like dog's name)?
Though, if Flick comes out to be good looking you'll have problems keeping neighbour's Oscar away from him. That is if you don't mind him turning gay... You can only hope to have some sort of continious relationship for your boy with that chick from 2 blocks away - Emmy, not so fancy and their children wouldn't be likely to make it to any international exhibitions, but at least she's a girl.
