I've been eagerly awaiting for this film for months, bro. So far all the reviews (mostly fanboy sites) have been great. It's got a 100% at rottentomatoes.com. I for one can't wait.
 
This looks like one of the ballsier films to come out in awhile. I'm watching HOUSE for the first time this evening.
 
FYI- There's a pretty interesting article on this in Script magazine (the one with wedding crashers on the front). It's an interview with rob zombie and they talk some about old "grind house" movies. Pretty cool.

I LOVE House of 1,000 Corpses! Super duper camp and I've seen it 50+ times (I get yelled at a lot for it, screw art it's just fun).

I too have been waiting and waiting for this one.

Phil Parmet DP'ed this one (there's an interview here at DVXUser with him for anyone who doesn't know).

Devil's Rejects looks wicked. It's hard to find films that are scary or creep me out, but this one looks like it's going to fit the bill nicely.
 
parts of "House of 1000 Corpses" really creeped me out! Not my style but I thought it was well done and I will see "Devil's Rejects" as well.

For some reason the trailer for Rejects, which I think is pretty damn cool played to LAUGHS from the sold-out crowd when I saw Mr and Mrs Smith, I found that kinda disturbing in its own right!

Anyone know what Rob's next project "El Superbeasto" is all about?

HOTT!! cant wait till it comes out! But ive noticed something with House of a 1,000 corpses...it's kinda made like the old horror movies..the way it starts out...like for example...when those ppl were in the car and it was raining...i forgot wat happend...it was either the tire that blew out or the engine stopped...any way...most of the old horror movies start off like that...then they go to a house a few miles down the road with freaky ass mofos..then the whole scary **** begins...its classic!!

The Devil's Rejects better be a good movie and not a shitty sequel like most sequels are.
 
ya, i heard that the original 1000 corpses was sooooo gory, that some of the stuff was just beyond a rating system, like ILEGAL GORE.

that makes me wonder what it was:

like fetus porn or something?

Question......why would people make suchhh extreme gore in their movies...knowing they prolly wont pass cuz its soo gruesome? Sometimes even the unrated versions in blockbuster or suttin cant show the crazzy gore.

If it cant get put into the movie? why attempt doing it then?
 
just to say:

"hey, in my movie i had the actor kill the victim by slicing open their stomach, letting the intrails spill out all over the floor. The they proceed to use the large intestine as a lasso to rope the next victim, and hogtie them with it while gagging them with their own spleen."

it's got to be bragging rights
 
Each time the limits are pushed it seems they "stretch" a little so throw it out there and see what sticks. I mean, you can say "****" on a major network now after prime.

To me there's fun gore and then there's totally self indulgent gore for the sake of "gore" and impact. This is fun gore where everyone goes "AHHHH DAAAMMNNNNN" and then giggles instead of the entrails being slung out during a hanging like in "Hannibal" where it's supposed to be intense and all serious.

If you take 1,000 Corpses or Devils Rejects to seriously you'll miss the ride :) It's like that friend you went to high school with that did all the gross crap that made all the girls go "EEEwwwwwww!!!" as opposed to going to high school with John Wayne Gacy where the guy turned out to actually be a freaking psycho.

I always think that. Like with Dahmer or this one freak as of late (Dennis Rader BTK Killer).

What do you do when you find out this stuff? "Holy ****! That's my kid's little league coach!"

I agree with REJECTS. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
