Anybody see this? I watched it at 3am last night on Sundance ondemand.
I must say, it was really, really good.
Not to sound sexist or anything, but usually when a film is directed by a woman, I can tell within the first 10 to 15 minutes. I'm not saying thats a bad thing, but films often times speak the voice/sex of the director (at least to me). It wasn't the case in this film.
Once it was over and I saw the credit, it definitely "came together"... but throughout the movie, it never even crossed my mind.
Also, the writer/director, Karen Moncrieff, is a former beauty pageant contestant, AND soap opera star!
What the hell is that!?? talk about breaking stereotype's.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience, and even more so when I read the credits and details.
