The day the earth stopped turning

Background Image borrowed from www.interfacelift.com.

PS CS3 - Added a GAF 500ASA film effect on top of all the layers.

Smoke trails made in PS also.

I think it's very cool and titled rightfully so. The depth of the image is fantastic. For some reason, the intensity of the color distracts me a bit on the first meteor. Maybe it doesn't look isolated from the other one enough?

Other than that, it's a job well done,

Kegan

You inspired me

Sky is multilayer hell, the interior of car is seperate, the freeway is seperate ..

This shot was captured by a survivor as the nuclear war started.

Nice! Though if you look down towards the lower third, it looks like there is a different layer showing up, or being cut off, the lower third is a little more milky than the rest of the image.

Why would they all be going toward the missile base (i.e., A-list target)?

Nice. John I think you need the eyes of the driver in the mirror, or maybe the eyes of the kid in the back in horror.

Alright

Added face and a blast in the middle; muahahahahah ! By the time I get down with it, the RAGE virus will be taking over.

Cool work guys.

One crit though, if it was truly the day the Earth stopped turning, wouldn't the scene be more of people, animals, cars, and building flying through the air at a ridiculous speed?

The earth spins pretty quick, and if that sucker ever slams to a halt, we are all going to be flying debris and then piles of goo. A kind of human jelly. Yummy.

More of a metaphor being that unknowingly by society, that would be the last day the earth ever turned.

Mmmm...jelly...I'm hungry, gonna go find a feast somewhere.
