I watched it last night for the first time.

Along with "The Transporter" and "Mission: Impossible 2," this movie belongs in the category of "Unintentional Comedies."

Re: The Day After Tomorrow

Re: The Day After Tomorrow

Ths film had the potential to be so amn cool; with Quaid and Jake and Roland helming. The effects were the bright spot on this UNTIL the CGI Wolves were brought in. Who approves this ****? "Yeah Bob, those wolves look great!".

Another cool idea shot down in execution.

Re: The Day After Tomorrow

all of us must have some pair of eyes.

some people i know actually thought the wolves were real.... hmm...

Re: The Day After Tomorrow

The embassing moralistic 'save the trees-style' flagwaving from the Vice President had me in stiches at the end... oh plur--leese!  ;D

It made me wanna go out and blast a can of hairspray into the ozone layer just on principle!!  :D

Re: The Day After Tomorrow

Big disappointment. There was so much hype leading into its theatrical release that I actually looked forward to it. It’s potentially one of those films where the science could actually bear out and spook the hell out of you. But no, it went from kinda creepy to full on campy.

By the time the dude was dangling by the rope at the mall I was like “DIE ALREADY, let’s keep this moving, you know you’re gonna pull the self sacrifice crap, just spare the drama and speech……………….ass”.

Oh, and the wolves, I’m still amazed at how many people buy into those graphics (“those are real dude”). Yeah right, and I guess there’s actually a little freaking rabbit that runs around at Easter hiding tie-dyed looking eggs for your goofy butt too right?

(Sorry, I’m venting, bad day  :P)
