Watched this hour and half documentary on editing and it just rocked! Follows some history on editing and is full of great insight and commentary from some of the best filmmakers, directors and editors in the field.

A must see for anyone who edits!

Playing on Starz/Encore the next few weeks for those that have it.

Can't find anything on a DVD release but when it comes out I will own it before the ink is dry on the label!

Hey Dakota,
Thanx for finding this, I can't get those channels in Canada..so I am out of luck. Would love to see it.

Let us know if you hear about a DVD release in your research.

Re: The Cutting Edge: The Magic of Movie Editing

I have seen movie twice now and everyone here should seek it out. I don't get STARZ, but Dish has a channel called TRUE in 125 channel package that has it on about once a week or so.

Thanks for great link to EditorsGuild article. !!

Walter Murch's section in the movie was excellent. Has anyone read his book,"In The Blink of an Eye" Also a very good book.
