Hi guys,

I'm from Switzerland and i produced and directed "The Conspiracy", our new movie during the last 3 years. It's the biggest and most professional production ever made by young filmmakers in Switzerland. We now created our official website

http://www.atecmovie.com/conspiracy

It's in german but you should understand some things. You can find our trailer in the "interactive" section. The movie is shown in some cinemas here in Switzerland and Germany.

Hope you like it! And sorry my grammar!

Simon

Hey, looks good. I would definitely like to see more of it!

Will there be an English version?

Can you tell us more details please; what was the budget? How did you go about getting ditribution in cinemas?

There won't be an English version, because we don't have enough time to produce one. The first presentation is on the 26 of August.

We had about 18'000$ / 12'500 £ kinda much money for such a production.
We were looking for a distributor, but it's hard to find one for such a project. So we decided to ask the cinemas personally if they would like to show our movie. We have now 4 cinemas and we are in contact with some more...

nice trailer... the helicopter was a nice touch, and the muzzle blast directly into the camera was cool... what part of switzerland are you guys in?
nice work.
t

Thanks ttt :) We are from the german speaking part, near to the border of Germany. We also shoot some material in Germany too. Unfortunately I couldn't use the DVX for the whole movie, because I bought the camera at the end, when shooting was almost done. But there are two scenes in the movie shot with the DVX :D

Not Basel :)

Not Basel :)

No not in Basel, I live next to the lake of Constance, right in the north east as you can see in the picture. Right next to "Konstanz"

Was the rest shot with an XL1?

Do you think you will make any money back from the project? Also is there any advice you would give, as I am soon to start a similar project?

Thanks for the info!

The rest was shot with the old Sony VX1000, the Canon Xl1s, the JVC GY-DV301E and the Ikegami Editcam 2 and 3.

Try to find some sponsors, who can help you wit your project. We had all the money from sponsors and also a part of the equipment. We edited the whole movie with a sponsored Avid editing suite. If you got money, you can do a lot. But still if you got much money, try always to get the things cheaper as they normally are. We always told the people about our projects and tried to get some reduction to the normal prices. It worked very often!

I got a question too. It's hard to find a movie festival with such a long movie, because there are too much short movie contests. And if we found a festival where you can send in the whole movie, it's just for professionals...

Dou you know some festivals which takes place in the future and were also young people can send in a feature film?

Would like to hear some more comments to the website and the movie from other people :)

Sorry, forgot that. I don't think so. We try to sell our DVD's, but we won't get the 25'00 Sfr.- back. But we definitely win some money, because the whole money we had for the movie came from sponsors and it wasn't ours

Sounds interesting. I find it hard too being a young filmmaker who makes reasonably commercial films.

I find many independant filmmakers are so pretentious and have no intention of making anything that could make money back. I want to make high quality films, but in order to make a continued living from it, they have to make money. They also have little or no concept of entertaining the everyday audience.
