EDIT: The CHUMSCRUBBER -- wow what at typo.
EDIT 2: Wow I searched for CHUMBSCRUBBER instead of CHUMSCRUBBER. Idiot me. There's a thread already.
I'm surprised that there's not thread on this movie. Wow.
It's got a Donnie Darko/Bully/Mean Creek (amongst other movies) vibe going strong. Really disjointed, screwed-up narrative that seems like the writer wanted to reflect on the dis-unioned state of parent-child relationships. How no one really understands their own family and the things that nobody ever says.
Rather relatable, as a younger male.
Very well shot, foreboding and intense at times. I know I gritted my teeth and made a few "What-the-fux" comments.
A really good movie, in my opinion. I got to check it out on HBO-HD and DVR'd it. It'll sit there with Primer until I have to give the damned thing back.
Recommendation from me.
