This is a stupid post, but I just wanted to say that I never liked my Bella editing keyboard (in USB version) 'cause it always seemed funny. Just like there was a delay on the keys or something... it was weird and frustrating. I assumed it was XP's bloat processing my entries or something rediculous like that...
I finally went back to my old black IBM keyboard which I always liked for it's basic appearance and springy-clicky feel on the keys... still, the keystrokes seemed a little off, but definitely improved.
Well yesterday I dumped a cup of coffee into the keyboard... and I quickly turned it upside down to be sure it wouldn't short anything... and shut down the computer.
Since basic keyboards don't cost much anyway... and I was pounding the texture off the keys on my IBM board (even the Bella didn't have the letters on the keys anymore)... I just pitched the IBM board into the trash and decided to get a new keyboard on my way home from work.
As I get older I care less and less about things like this... so I just stopped at the closest store on my way home, which happened to be Target. All they had was this funky black GE keyboard for $18... on clearance... so I got it. GE? Yeah... that's what I thought too.
Funny thing is this damn keyboard is the best twenty bucks I ever spent! My typing is lightning fast and the feel on the board is great... I can't believe I've put up with the bullshit of these other two boards for the last THREE YEARS... jeez.
In case you suspect that your keyboard might be a little sloppy but you accept it... pitch that crap in the can and drop a lousy $20 for a new one! You'll be glad you did.
Hopefully most of you think this is a stupid and pointless thread... but if anybody is in the situation I was in... you'll be surprised at what you've been missing. You might not even realize your keyboard is a piece of junk... I didn't.
